Think 'outside the box' marketing for small business

LET’S DO THIS…
Quite often budget limits small businesses from executing their big marketing ideas, but not every successful strategy requires a lot of money.
Here are six outside the box ways to market your small business that are inexpensive and effective.
1. GET PERSONAL
Share your thoughts, dreams and your why with your audience. Your customers want to know who they are doing business with and why you want to help them.

Share photos, quotes or videos with your audience. Show the real you!

2.  PROMOTE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

Create something that can/will be shared by your viewers on social media.
You could start selfie campaign or photography challenge that involved people wearing or using your product in weird/amusing ways or places. You could add a small prize and get them to tag, share and comment to be eligible. Small outlay for possible large reach!
3.  SAY THANKS

Repeat business is the key for long term success.
Let your customers know you appreciate them by inviting them to a special event or sharing something about your product or service with them first – make them feel like a VIP!
4.  CREATE A LOYALTY PROGRAM

A loyalty program or special members deals/event nights can be great. It is also an opportunity for your clients to bring a friend, to introduce them to your brand.
Be creative and get their attention!
5. SOCIAL MEDIA

Actively use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Be creative with your content, always make it relevant, engaging and full of interesting info the user can take away. It is about quality not quantity!

Create a Facebook group, use Facebook live and use paid/boosted posts to reach a wider audience (can be quite cost effective!)
6. ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY WANT

If you are not sure what type of promotions will work best for your audience, ask them! Create a survey, add a reward for participants to encourage them to take part.
Be consistent, brand everything, don’t spam, use video and create a database you can re-market to.
